UPDATE on GUESSING GAME....RULES clarified

WE HAVE FOUR PEOPLE PLAYING SO FAR!!!  So there is $24 in the pot right now......OK, make that SIX people and $36 ;-)

And to answer some various questions that have been asked:

1.  YES, you must be present (at some point throughout the weekend) - aka tracksters, workers, etc - this allows for you to collect cash and have immediate bragging abilities ;-)

2.  AVERAGE wind speed for the 24 hour period as indicated from the website we referenced on the blog (http://www.wunderground.com/weather-forecast/US/KS/Glen_Elder.html)

3.  The official reading and results will be read / determined and rewarded at lunch time on Saturday (for Friday guesses), Sunday (for Saturday guesses) and Monday brunch (for Sunday guesses)

4.  There ARE TWO THINGS YOU ARE GUESSING!!!  AVERAGE WIND and the second being the HIGH TEMPERATURE - again this is in the 24hour time period for three separate days - Friday (12am - 11:59pm), Saturday (12am - 11:59pm), Sunday (12am - 11:59pm)

FINAL CLARITY - that is it.  No more questions allowed.  GUESSES DUE BY 11:59pm on WEDNESDAY NIGHT!!!

PLACE YOUR BETS

Well since the weather has always been a major challenge, obstacle and x-factor for the past 20 some years during Memorial Weekend someone (Joey) suggested we bet on it.  So here it is.  

RULES and INSTRUCTIONS OF THE GAME

1.  All guesses will be verified and finalized on www.wunderground.com - see an example link for today here:  http://www.wunderground.com/weather-forecast/US/KS/Glen_Elder.html

2.  We will bet on the HIGH temperature and the AVERAGE wind speed for Friday (24th), Saturday (25th), and Sunday (26th).

3.  Each bet costs $1 (if you bet for both the temperature and wind that is $2 per day)  Each "pot" or "category" are separate.  

4.  Ties will be split between two, three or more winners equally...no second places.

5.  All guesses must by in by May 15, 2013 to be valid.  

6.  Each individual can only bet on each category once daily.  

7.  Must be present to play.  

ALL guesses will remain confidential until your arrival to the campgrounds AND money is collected

SUBJECT:  GUESS
Friday - Temp 15degrees / Wind 1mph
Saturday - Temp 16degrees / Wind 2mph
Sunday - Temp 17degrees / Wind 3mph

The Wheels Are Turning

Thanks to Shawna, John's and Nelson's family rattling the cages today our wheels are turning on ideas. Any thoughts, suggestions, ideas etc are welcome - send them our way soon for consideration on implementation for Bellerive Bash 2013!  Put your ante IN and take you chances.....

Reminder: Get your yearly vehicle permits NOW to save money! Prices go up after March!

Pepere has agreed to getting us shirts! Please get shirt sizes for you and your family to me ASAP.

Get emailing/calling/texting with your team to plan your meal strategy and even a team name and once you know, let me know please so I can post that information.

As in previous years the 7 siblings can choose to pay $100 and the rest will organize and do the work. Get me the money and each team get me your receipts and we'll get it straight in the end.

By the way, we will NOT be voting anyone off of this Survivor!

Survivor Weekend ~ Bellerive Style

Out Hunt, Out Fish, Out Play

The teams have been chosen! Six teams will be dropped off in the middle of Glen Elder Lake - the campsite - for an exciting weekend of games, competitions, challenges, food, family, and fun!

All players will receive points for participating in events throughout the weekend. Winners will get more points and will be first in line for the meals (after Pepere, of course). The winning team gets bragging rights for a year!
